Knarrlagsund

In May 2014 Berge Rederi AS bought the vessel Sirocco from Wagenborg and renamed her to MV Knarrlagsund. The name Knarrlagsund originated from the place where Øivind, Anne Gunn and Magne currently lives. Knarrlagsund was rebuilt to a self-discharger with excavator same year in Tallinn.

The vessel's main cargo is raw materials for the salmon and agriculture industry in Norway. Outbound cargoes are mainly dolomite, crumbles, timber and split. Knarrlagsund at times sail down to the Mediterranean when there is an opening for a longer voyage.

Knarrlagsund is equipped and certified for sailing in Arctic waters. (Polar code)
